Information Regarding Extended Access
In the Kingswinford, Amblecote & Brierley Hill (KAB) area practices are working in partnership to provide additional GP appointments. If you need access to an evening or weekend non-urgent appointment, please call and speak to the receptionist at your registered practice during normal opening hours.
Your appointment may be with another practice in the area and may not be at your registered practice.
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING YOUR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
From 1st Dec 2017, Wordsley Green Surgery will require 7 working days notice to process your repeat prescription requests.
We kindly ask all of our patients to manage their medication to allow for this processing period as urgent requests cannot be guaranteed.
Please remember to allow more time for any public holidays.
You can order your medication in the following ways:

- Via a Pharmacy
- Drop your request in to the surgery

The telephone request option for repeat prescriptions will cease with effect from 1st September 2014. This applies to both surgeries and is a measure to free up more access for those booking appointments and making enquiries.
NHS Health Checks
If you are aged 40 to 74 and do not already have diabetes, stroke, heart and kidney disease or are not being treated for high blood pressure or high cholesterol levels you are eligible for a free NHS Health Check. Even if you are feeling well, an NHS Health Check can help you to lower your chance of developing health problems in the future.
During your health check, which takes about 30 minutes, you’ll be asked some simple questions about your family history and any medication you’re taking. Your blood pressure and pulse will be checked and your height, weight, age, sex and ethnicity will be recorded. Your results will be discussed with you and you will be given personalised advice on how to lower your risk and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
If you were asked to have a blood test before your check, the results will also be discussed with you.

General Practitioner Registrars
Our practice is a training practice. Our GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors and already have a great deal of experience. They are attached to our practice for six to twelve months. The Registrars usually become General Practitioners after completing their training.
The main entrance at Wordsley Green is suitable for wheelchair access and has special disabled toilet facilities.
